The planet is located in a solar system with debris, much of it liable to falling to its surface. The frequency of these objects impacting the surface has lead to them being classified as mysterious falling objects (MFO), any object originating from outer space, especially if it exhibits unusual properties.
The effects of MFOs vary from minor to severe. Some examples of MFOs are unknown metals and substances, meteorites that glamorize those who touch them, objects with extraterrestrial life forms, objects that distort magnetic fields, and gray goo that can fuse with organic matter and electronics.
To predict when and where MFOs will land, scientists have constructed observatories such as Ruhymmel Observatory to detect objects in the sky.
This is part of the Beauchêne
universe.
